Adding references to your profile
References
References are people who can vouch for your academic or professional abilities. Some employers contact them directly before extending an offer.
Types of references
- Institutional references — professors, HODs, placement coordinators from your college.
- Professional references — supervisors or mentors from previous internships or jobs.
How to add a reference
- Go to Profile → Edit Profile and scroll to References.
- Enter the person's name.
- Enter their designation (e.g., Associate Professor, Internship Supervisor).
- Enter their email address.
- Enter their mobile number.
- Click Add Reference and then Save Changes.
Important: Always ask for permission before listing someone as a reference. Listing a reference without consent is unprofessional and may damage your reputation.
